Our Assistance Animal Policy
At Escape Live, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy our immersive experiences. That includes visitors who rely on assistance animals. Our venues welcome trained assistance animals to ensure all guests feel safe and supported.
We often get asked, “Can I bring my assistance dog into an escape room?” The answer is yes – trained assistance dogs are allowed in all public areas of our venues. If your dog helps with a medical condition or disability, they are welcome to accompany you during your visit.
What Counts as an Assistance Animal?
Under UK law, an assistance animal is typically a dog trained to assist someone with a disability. This includes guide dogs for visual impairments, hearing dogs for deaf individuals, and medical alert dogs.
Emotional support animals are not recognised under the Equality Act 2010 in the same way and are not permitted unless they have been formally trained.
If you’re unsure whether your animal qualifies, please contact us ahead of your booking. Our team is happy to help.
Planning Your Visit with an Assistance Animal
We recommend informing us at the time of booking if you’re bringing an assistance dog. This allows our team to accommodate your needs and ensure the best possible experience.
We may suggest rooms that have fewer loud effects or tight spaces if you prefer a calmer environment.
While trained assistance dogs are highly capable in many situations, escape rooms can be unfamiliar. The darkness, sound effects, or confined spaces may cause uncertainty for even the most experienced assistance animals. Please bear this in mind when selecting your experience.
You can view all our escape room experiences to find the right one for you. Be sure to filter your location first.
How We Support Accessibility
Escape Live continues to make our venues more inclusive. This includes allowing assistance animals, providing accessible toilets, and offering team support for guests with additional needs.
If you have a specific concern or request, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Final Tips
- Assistance animals must remain under control at all times.
- They should be easily identifiable, ideally with a harness or jacket.
- We do not allow pets or emotional support animals that are not formally trained.
Escape Live is proud to be a welcoming, accessible experience for all. Whether you’re playing with friends, family, or as part of a work event, we’re here to make your visit memorable.
